TTE440L Hybrid Performance Upgrade Turbocharger

The TheTurboEngineers TTE440L is a cutting-edge hybrid performance upgrade turbocharger, built upon the foundation of an Original IHI turbocharger for the 3rd generation VAG 2.0TSI engine, commonly found in Audi B9 A4/A5 models and other VAG vehicles. Engineered for Stage 3 power, the TTE440L boasts impressive spool and response characteristics, positioning it as a top-tier plug-and-play hybrid turbocharger. The construction involves replacing the original compressor with a larger, more efficient billet wheel featuring extended tip technology. The compressor cover is meticulously milled to an optimal gap, and the original turbine is replaced with a lightweight 9-blade unit, CNC milled into the housing to enhance gas flow. A TTE upgrade 360-degree thrust bearing, manufactured in-house, is also incorporated for increased durability. Further enhancements include a TTE CNC silencer delete, modifying the turbo discharge to a straight-through section for improved flow and a more aggressive sound. The 9-blade TTE turbine is specifically designed by TheTurboEngineers to offer greater gas flow, reduced back pressure, and lower exhaust gas temperatures, enabling safer higher boost levels. Its low mass also contributes to a reduced moment of inertia, ensuring fast spool-up. Each turbocharger undergoes rigorous balancing, starting with individual component balancing at slow speeds and culminating in dynamic balancing of the assembled CHRA up to 250,000 RPM using an in-house VSR machine, exceeding OEM standards. A serial-numbered balance test result document accompanies each unit. It is crucial to note that custom tuning software is required for installation. Additionally, this product is not for sale or use in the state of California on any pollution-controlled vehicle as per the California Air Resources Board.
