Overview

The TTE475 is an upgraded IS38 turbocharger designed for MQB platforms. It features a TTE billet milled compressor with 6+6 blades and a 53mm inlet, paired with an IHI stock turbine that has been clipped for increased flow and a 49mm outlet. This turbocharger offers very early response and spool, utilizing an upgraded TTE 360-degree thrust bearing.

The TTE475 IS38 Upgraded Turbocharger is a performance enhancement for MQB 2.0L and 1.8T EA888.3 TSI engines. Based on the original IS38 turbocharger, this unit features a TTE billet milled compressor with a 6+6 blade design and a 53mm inlet, while the IHI stock turbine is clipped for improved flow and reduced exhaust gas temperatures, with a 49mm outlet. It incorporates an upgraded TTE 360-degree thrust bearing and a TTE CNC milled silencer delete for enhanced flow and sound. Precision balancing is a critical factor, with components balanced at slow speeds and the CHRA dynamically balanced at up to 250,000 RPM using an in-house VSR machine, ensuring longevity and performance. Each turbocharger comes with a serial-numbered balance test result document. Installation is designed to be plug-and-play, utilizing the original IS38 turbocharger fitment. However, software recalibration is explicitly required after installation to optimize performance and ensure proper operation. Attention must be paid to actuator selection, as certain car generations have had turbocharger actuator revisions; users must select the correct type for their specific vehicle. The product is made in Germany and comes with a 1-year TTE trouble-free warranty.
