TTE480+ TSI 5154 Turbocharger

The TTE480+ TSI 5154 VAG Upgrade Turbocharger is engineered by TheTurboEngineers as an enhanced K04 frame hybrid for the 2.0 TSI EA888.1 engine. This unit begins with a genuine BorgWarner K04-064 turbocharger, which is then meticulously upgraded with a larger 2871X TTE billet compressor wheel for high efficiency and a wide compressor map. The turbine is a larger, 9-blade, 54mm outlet High-Flow unit designed to reduce back pressure and lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGT). The compressor cover is re-profiled and machined to optimize efficiency, with the PCV port blanked off and replaced by a TTE smooth flow-optimized billet blanking plate. Further enhancements include CNC ported exhaust manifold runners at the head flange to smooth the transition for increased gas speed, a billet CNC TTE Boost adapter and silencer delete for improved flow and sound, and a CNC-milled compressor cover to accept a billet TTE Recirculation Valve Adapter for OE-like fitment of the original VAG recirculation valve. Internally, it features a TTE developed 360-degree high-performance motorsport journal bearing system for durability and transient response. The actuator is an uprated sprung OE unit with reinforced clamps. Each turbocharger is precisely balanced using single-part balancing and high-speed VSR balancing up to 250,000 RPM, ensuring longevity and performance, and comes with a serial-numbered balance test result document. Installation considerations include that software recalibration is required. The original VAG Manifold gasket may need enlarging to match the CNC ported exhaust ports on the turbocharger manifold. Adaptations may be necessary for EA888.1 engines regarding the boost outlet connection, potentially requiring a 90-degree silicone bend and a K04-064 turbo downpipe.
