TTE535 IS38 Hybrid Turbocharger

The TTE535 IS38 is an upgraded turbocharger, engineered as a performance hybrid based on the original IS38. This unit is designed to deliver Stage 3+ power with improved spool and response, offering what is described as the best balanced hybrid IS38 available. Construction involves replacing the original compressor with a larger, more efficient billet wheel featuring extended tip technology, and milling the compressor cover for optimal gap. The original IS38 turbine is replaced with a lightweight, 9-blade TTE turbine for greater gas flow, while the turbine housing is CNC milled to accommodate it. A TTE silencer delete is also fitted, removing internal baffles for a straight-through section, which enhances flow and sound. The 9-blade TTE turbine is designed to reduce back pressure and exhaust gas temperatures, allowing for safer, higher boost levels and faster spool due to its low mass. Each turbocharger undergoes rigorous balancing. Individual parts are balanced at slow speeds, and then the assembled CHRA is dynamically balanced at speeds up to 250,000 RPM using an in-house VSR machine to ensure superior longevity and performance. A serial-numbered balance test result document is supplied with each unit. This turbocharger is a direct plug-and-play replacement for the IS38, made in Germany and backed by a 1-year warranty. Software recalibration is required for installation.
