It features a TTE Billet Milled compressor with a 7+7 blade, 56mm inlet, and a TTE High-Flow Low-Mass 9-blade turbine with a 54mm outlet. This hybrid turbocharger is engineered to provide Stage 3+ power with improved spool and response.

The TTE555 IS38 represents The Turbo Engineers' latest hybrid performance upgrade turbocharger, meticulously built upon the foundation of the Original IHI IS38 turbocharger. Designed specifically for the 3rd generation VAG 2.0TSI engine platform, this turbocharger aims to deliver Stage 3+ power with optimized spool and response, positioning itself as a top-tier hybrid IS38 option. Key enhancements include a TTE Billet Milled compressor wheel featuring a 6+6 blade configuration and a 55mm inlet diameter. The turbine side boasts a TTE High-Flow Low-Mass 9-blade design, complemented by a TTE CNC Billet silencer delete for improved flow characteristics. Durability is further assured by a reinforced bearing pack and rigorous balancing processes, with individual parts finely balanced before assembly and the complete core subjected to high-speed VSR balancing. A balance test result document is supplied with each unit. This turbocharger is designed for Plug and Play installation, directly replacing the original IS38 turbocharger. The Turbo Engineers emphasize that professional installation and break-in procedures by specialists experienced with hybrid turbochargers are mandatory to validate the warranty. The product is made in Germany and has proven power capabilities exceeding 555 PS.
