TTX Pro Coil-Over System

The Öhlins TTX Pro Coilover System is a race-derived suspension package engineered for drivers who demand the highest level of damper performance on circuit, specifically for the Audi R8 (4S). Built around Öhlins' TTX — Twin Tube eXtreme — technology, this system delivers precise, high-resolution control over damping forces, drawing on the brand's extensive development in motorsports like Formula 1, IndyCar, and MotoGP. The TTX system utilizes a twin-tube damper architecture where an inner working tube and outer reserve tube work together to manage fluid flow with exceptional efficiency. Separate compression and rebound adjusters provide the driver with fully independent control over each damping phase, allowing for precise suspension tuning tailored to track conditions, tire compounds, or individual driving styles. For even more advanced setup requirements, the system can be upgraded to three or four-way adjustability. Öhlins' temperature-compensating design ensures that damping characteristics remain consistent even as fluid temperatures rise during sustained track use. This consistency is critical for a high-performance vehicle like the R8, ensuring repeatable lap times and predictable handling behavior. Furthermore, the system allows for independent adjustment of ride height from spring preload, enabling precise corner-weight tuning and rake adjustment without negatively impacting spring characteristics or reducing suspension travel. The system includes model-specific, high-performance Öhlins front and rear top mounts, and front drop links, all equipped with spherical bearings for enhanced adjustability. The TTX46 dampers, used successfully in GT4, TCR, and WTCR racing, are designed to accommodate popular wheel sizes and clearances and have been tested and validated for use with R-compound tires. It is important to note that this system does not function with the factory magnetic ride or electronic damper control system. An Öhlins cancellation kit (35020-17) is required to suppress dashboard warnings.
