Tubular Anti-Roll Bar, Front

The Racing Beat 54106 is a front tubular sway bar engineered for the 2001-2005 Mazda MX-5. Its primary function is to reduce body roll during cornering and enhance the car's responsiveness to steering inputs, ultimately increasing maximum cornering capability. The development of this bar was driven by observations of a tendency towards power oversteer in stock 2001+ Miata models, even with different transmissions and suspension packages. This larger diameter bar, when used with the stock rear sway bar, helps neutralize this oversteer at lower speeds and introduces a slight understeer at higher speeds. The use of a Racing Beat rear sway bar is not recommended with this front bar as it may negate the intended benefits. Constructed from substantial engineering effort and select steel alloys, this sway bar features a 1.25-inch outer diameter with a 3/16-inch wall thickness, distinguishing it from the 1.125-inch OD bar offered for earlier models. It comes complete with heavy-duty cast aluminum bar clamps, replacement urethane bushings, Prothane bushing grease, and detailed installation instructions. The bar is designed with two end-link mounting holes and finished in a durable, bright red powder coat. While this 1.25" OD bar can be installed on 1999-00 MX-5 models, it is only recommended for experienced individuals seeking to significantly alter handling characteristics for specific uses. Racing Beat strongly recommends the use of optional components to prevent potential suspension damage due to the increased demands placed on stock components by this high-performance part. These recommended optional components include a Lower Control Arm (LCA) Attachment Flange Kit and a Heavy Duty Sway Bar End Link Kit (Option C: combination of both). Use of only the Heavy Duty Sway Bar End Link Kit is not recommended.
