Overview

The Maximum Motorsports K-member is a tubular suspension component designed for 2005-2014 S197 Mustangs. This K-member aims to improve handling performance, especially for lowered vehicles.

It is constructed to be stronger and stiffer than the stock K-member, reducing deflection under load. The design accommodates stock motor mounts for minimal NVH impact and fits stock front control arms with either stock or aftermarket bushings. It is also compatible with both electric and hydraulic steering racks.

The Maximum Motorsports K-member is a tubular suspension upgrade engineered for 2005-2014 Ford Mustang S197 models. It offers increased strength and stiffness compared to the factory K-member, leading to reduced deflection during cornering and braking. It also accommodates stock front control arms with existing stock or aftermarket bushings. Compatibility extends to both electric and hydraulic steering racks, and it allows for convenient oil pan removal without needing additional engine support. The design is also upgradable to an SLA suspension setup. Installation of this K-member requires a bumpsteer kit, which can be purchased as an option. Additionally, some method to support the engine during the installation process is necessary; Maximum Motorsports' engine support brace is available as an optional add-on. It is important to note that this K-member is not compatible with extended-length ball joints. Related parts that can enhance the installation and performance include a bumpsteer gauge for precise installation of the required bumpsteer kit, a manual transmission cooler scoop brace, and an engine support beam. Other compatible parts include a lightweight radiator core support and a core support brace with an adjustable mount for the swaybar.
