Tubular K-Member for LSx Engine Swap

The Spohn Performance tubular K-member is engineered for the 1982-1992 GM F-Body Camaro and Firebird models undergoing an LSx engine swap, setting a high standard for performance and quality. It provides significant weight savings and frees up considerable space in the engine bay, making it ideal for drag racing applications. Simultaneously, its robust construction ensures the strength, rigidity, and durability required for road racing, autocross, and everyday use. Constructed from 1.50" x .120" wall DOM tubing for the front hoop and 1.25" x .120" wall DOM tubing for A-arm mount tubes, this K-member features CNC laser-cut and formed 3/16" steel mounts and gussets. It incorporates OEM-style button head locating pins and retains factory dimensions with precise welding in a flat position via a specialized jig. The design accommodates stock A-arms or Spohn's tubular A-arms. It also includes all necessary hardware, such as Grade 10.9 k-member mounting bolts and washers, along with brake line mounts and their corresponding hardware. Key features include clearance for the 98-02 F-Body LS1 A/C compressor and all 98-02 F-Body LS1 A/C lines with the motor mounts. Options are available for spring type (stock style coil spring or coil over), LSx motor mount adapters and bushings, and front k-member brace mounts. Note that K-member front braces will not clear the 98-02 F-Body LS1 A/C compressor or alternator; order these only if converting to a thirdgen style alternator setup or using an aftermarket accessory setup. The K-member is available with a durable and brilliant powder-coated finish in various colors. An optional 4130N chrome moly tubing upgrade offers enhanced lightweight strength.
