Tubular K-Member with Chassis Brace

The Maximum Motorsports MMKM-2 is a high-performance tubular K-member engineered for 1996-2004 Ford Mustangs to enhance cornering grip and steering response. Weighing 39 lbs, it provides a 22% weight reduction over the stock K-member while utilizing thicker-gauge metal and advanced cross-bracing to ensure the structural integrity required for street, drag strip, and road course use. Its suspension geometry includes two sets of control arm pivot holes—raised 1" and 2" above stock—to allow for precise roll center adjustment based on ride height. Compatibility includes 4.6L modular (2V/4V), 5.4L modular, 3.8L V6, LSX, and 2011-2014 5.0L Coyote engines, with an updated design for 2015+ Coyote engine fitment. Please note that this product does NOT fit Hellion turbo kits, and for 5.0L pushrod, 302, 351W, or 2.3L engine swaps, the MMKM-1.1 model must be used instead. Installation requires specific hardware including tubular front control arms, a front coil-over conversion with high-performance struts, MM Aluminum Steering Rack Bushings, caster camber plates, and a bolt-through-style bumpsteer kit. Additional requirements include short swaybar endlinks, front swaybar relocation brackets, and universal front swaybar bushings. Modular 4.6L engines with an OEM oil cooler require an Oil Filter Relocation Kit, and 3.8L V6 installations necessitate 1996-2004 V6 engine mounts. Note that stock front control arms are incompatible due to their large pivot bushings. The design maintains stock engine mount height and fore/aft location for 4.6L engines to ensure proper oil pan clearance.
