The Tuff Country 16813 6-inch lift kit is a bolt-on suspension upgrade for Chevy and GMC 4x4 trucks that delivers substantial ground clearance while keeping handling predictable. Engineered for 1988–1998 Chevy/GMC K1500 4WD 6-Lug models (without Autotrac), it opens up room for aggressive tire sizing without a complicated install. It features a 6" overall lift (6" front / 6" rear), upper control arm drop to preserve steering geometry, and a one-piece sub-frame for rigidity. Extended shocks are required and sold separately. Designed for straightforward, no-fabrication installation using factory mounting points. Supports up to 35" x 12.5" tires with appropriate wheels (4.5" backspacing or less).
