By relocating the air filter outside the engine compartment, it draws in colder, denser air, which carries more oxygen for a more powerful combustion. The black aluminum tubing is precisely tuned in length and diameter to match the engine's resonance, ensuring optimal airflow to the cylinders and maximizing power gains throughout the entire RPM range. This intake features a K&N style air filter, clamps, heat shields, and a silicone coupler for a complete installation. It is designed for V8 engines with 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, or 6.2L displacements. The system is stated to provide gains of over 12+ rwhp. Vehicle applications include 2009-2013 Chevrolet and GMC Trucks and SUVs (2WD/4WD) with 4.8L, 5.3L, or 6.0L engines, as well as the 2009-2013 Chevrolet Avalanche (2WD/4WD) with 4.8L, 5.3L, or 6.0L engines. Please note that this intake does not work on trucks and SUVs equipped with manual fans. **Important Note:** This cold air intake is manufactured and sold for competition use only. It is not EPA certified or CARB approved and is not eligible for shipment to California. Installation on a vehicle intended for use on public roads or highways may violate the Clean Air Act, incurring potential fines.
