The Skunk2 Racing Tuner Series Stage 2 Camshaft is a premier high-performance camshaft specifically designed for Honda's R18A1 engines, including the 2006-2011 Honda Civic (1.8L DX/DX-G/EX/LX) R18 models. This camshaft is the result of Skunk2's extensive drag racing and road racing experience, aiming to optimize horsepower and torque on mildly modified engines. Constructed from high-strength, hollow, iron-alloy cores, each camshaft is new and manufactured using state-of-the-art CNC grinding machines. Skunk2's Tuner Series camshafts feature Fast Ramp and AMAX profile technology, which enhance overall performance and provide unmatched response from idle to redline. The AMAX technology maximizes the area under the lift curve without compromising reliability or valvetrain stability, offering more duration at lifts above 1mm for increased efficiency and power. Furthermore, the Stage II camshafts utilize the stock VTEC economy lobe, meaning fuel economy remains unchanged under light cruising loads, preserving MPG. Key specifications include an intake duration/lift of 230 degrees at 0.050" lift / 0.448" lift, and an exhaust duration/lift of 236 degrees at 0.050" lift / 0.409" lift. The camshaft operates within an RPM range of 1,500 - 9,400 rpm and is expected to yield gains of 20-25 hp and 18-22 lb-ft of torque. Valve clearance is set at 0.008" for intake and 0.010" for exhaust when cold.
