The Skunk2 Tuner Series Stage 3 Camshaft is engineered to deliver substantial horsepower and torque gains for performance-oriented engines. Utilizing Japanese chill-casting technology and manufactured on CNC machines with CBN grinding wheels, these camshafts are built to stringent quality standards. The Stage 3 profile is specifically designed for purpose-built race engines operating at high RPMs and requires significant engine work, including increased compression and flow, along with upgraded valvetrain components. Professional installation and tuning by expert engine builders are mandatory for proper functioning. The design incorporates Fast Ramp and Amax Technology to enhance low-RPM torque, while the VTEC crossover is optimized for a more pronounced surge. Despite its aggressive nature for racing applications, the Tuner Series camshafts aim to retain factory idle quality and low-speed emissions where possible.
