The Unitronic Turbo-Back Exhaust System is a high-performance upgrade engineered specifically for the MK6 GTI. Constructed from premium T304 stainless steel, the 3-inch mandrel-bent tubing ensures superior durability and resistance to rust, designed to outlast the vehicle itself. The system utilizes robust T316 stainless steel V-band flanges, CNC machined for a precise and leak-proof fitment. At its core, this turbo-back system features a 200-cell metallic matrix high-flow catalytic converter, optimized for minimal power loss while maintaining maximum efficiency and flow. A straight-through, free-flowing muffler design further enhances performance by reducing restrictions and back pressure. The system includes polished 4-inch slash-cut exhaust tips, elegantly finished and engraved with the Unitronic logo. The system incorporates advanced sound technologies, including a sound reflection chamber to cancel unwanted frequencies and a sound absorption chamber packed with high-temperature fiberglass wool, resulting in a deep, desirable tone. A 4-inch corrugated stainless steel flex section is integrated to allow for natural engine movement without stressing factory mounts, ensuring longevity and preventing stress fractures. The exhaust system retains the factory catalyst position for optimal warm-up strategy efficiency and uses OEM oxygen sensor placement, eliminating the need for O2 sensor extensions or wiring harness modifications.
