The PTP Lava Turbo Blanket is engineered to specifically fit Borg Warner K04 turbochargers, enhancing performance and protecting your engine bay. By effectively isolating the heat generated by the turbocharger, this blanket helps reduce turbo lag and lower intake air temperatures, which can contribute to a noticeable boost in horsepower. Constructed with high-performance materials, the outer layer is made from pulverized volcanic lava rock, rated for 1800°F direct heat and 2500°F radiant heat. Internally, it features high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool insulation, rated for 1832°F continuous and 2300°F peak temperatures, all protected by a durable stainless steel mesh. This robust construction ensures the blanket can withstand the harshest under-hood conditions.
