Turbo Heatshield

The COBB Tuning Turbo Heatshield serves as an upgraded replacement for the factory heat shield on various Subaru models, including the 2008-2014 WRX, 2005-2009 Legacy GT, and 2005-2009 Outback XT. Constructed from durable 304 stainless steel, the heat shield's primary function is to deflect radiated heat from the turbocharger's turbine housing away from sensitive engine bay components. Unlike a turbo blanket that wraps around the turbo, this heat shield provides a directional barrier to protect specific parts such as intake tubes, charge pipes, and wiring harnesses. This is particularly beneficial in tightly packed engine bays where these components are in close proximity to the hot turbocharger. The updated design features extended length edge flanges for improved coverage of the turbine housing and a cleaner appearance. Additionally, slotted bolt holes facilitate an easier installation process. It works in conjunction with a turbo blanket for comprehensive thermal management.
