Turbo Inlet Adaptor for 1.6T

The Forge Motorsport Turbo Inlet Adaptor (FMTIA15) is a performance-enhancing component for the Hyundai Elantra 1.6T N Line. This kit provides a full plug-and-play solution, including a replacement cast turbo inlet adaptor, CNC-machined hose couplers, and a high-flow silicone inlet hose. It is available in black, red, blue, or performance blue, aiming to improve both performance and engine bay aesthetics. The enlarged inlet elbow boasts a 170% increase in capacity compared to the OEM part, designed to maximize airflow to the turbocharger. The stock plastic inlet hose often creates turbulence due to internal ribs and steps, which can slow airflow. The Forge silicone hose addresses this by removing these restrictions and increasing the hose's capacity, leading to improved airflow and performance. Silicone was chosen over aluminum after testing revealed that aluminum pipes could retain too much heat, negatively impacting performance gains after multiple dyno pulls. The silicone hose, however, maintained a steady temperature, ensuring consistent performance. Forge Motorsport has conducted dyno testing, demonstrating significant improvements. When combined with the OEM airbox and standard factory filter, the turbo inlet adaptor resulted in nearly a 7 BHP and 12 NM of torque increase. Notably, there are gains across the entire rev range, with a specific 17 NM gain between 2500 and 3000 RPM, enhancing throttle response and power delivery.
