This failure can lead to reduced performance, illuminated check engine lights, and a loss of power. PERRIN addresses this issue with a robust, multi-layered heat-resistant silicone construction, reinforced with an internal stainless steel support wire for added rigidity and to prevent collapse under high boost conditions. This inlet hose features a larger internal diameter and smooth interior walls, promoting increased airflow to the turbocharger. This enhancement can result in improved horsepower, quicker turbo spool, better acceleration, and a more responsive throttle. Notably, the PERRIN Turbo Inlet Hose is designed and tested to function safely without requiring ECU recalibration or a tune, though additional power gains are possible with a proper tune specific to all vehicle modifications. The hose includes an OEM-like plug-n-play crank case vent connector, simplifying installation and avoiding the need to defeat emissions control devices. It also features a smooth glass-filled reinforced nylon coupler for a seamless transition from the intake to the turbo inlet, maintaining both rigidity and strength. Additionally, a machined aluminum insert provides a solid connection point for the blow-off valve hose. Installation hardware, including various clamps and connectors, is provided for a ready installation. This PERRIN Turbo Inlet Hose is specifically designed for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX, 2005-2009 Subaru Legacy GT, and 2009-2012 Subaru Forester XT models.
