Its enlarged pipe diameter significantly improves air intake efficiency, a key benefit for vehicles equipped with ECU tuning. This kit is compatible with both stock and upgraded turbochargers, and it features an OEM-diameter turbo guide vane to optimize flow. Performance gains include an estimated +10–14 HP on tuned vehicles, along with sharper turbo spool and improved throttle response. To further optimize performance when paired with the stock airbox, MST suggests adding a high-flow panel filter or an aftermarket performance air filter to meet the increased airflow demands of higher horsepower configurations. This turbo inlet pipe kit fits the following BMW models with the B58 Gen2 engine: G20/G21 M340i, G22/G23 M440i, G29 Z4 40i, and G42 M240i. It is also compatible with the Toyota Supra 3.0 (G series). A note regarding installation: The PCV heater is removed during the installation of this intake system, which may result in a stored error code. While this typically does not illuminate the check engine light, certain vehicle models might display a check engine light depending on their system sensitivity.
