The COBB Tuning Turbo Inlet V2 is a direct, direct replacement for your 2008-2014 Subaru WRX, 2005-2009 Legacy GT, or 2005-2009 Outback XT. Constructed from durable, black 5-ply silicone, this inlet is designed to reject high engine bay temperatures, ensuring the intake air remains closer to ambient. Its steel wire reinforced construction effectively eliminates the common issue of hose collapse experienced under vacuum, while still providing necessary flex between the engine and the intake system. The V2 design incorporates several updates to ease installation and improve performance. Machined billet aluminum adapters are used for the Post-MAF hose and BPV return, providing a more secure and reliable fit. Fittings have been redesigned for a cleaner installation that prevents them from protruding into the inlet airway. Crucially, the overall path of the inlet tube has been refined to offer better fitment around TGV Housings and simplify the installation process. This upgraded turbo inlet requires tuning changes to function optimally. COBB Tuning offers Off-The-Shelf (OTS) Map support for compatible vehicles, which can be found on their website. The larger diameter of this inlet allows for increased potential airflow delivery to the turbo, leading to gains in horsepower, decreased turbo spool time, and improved throttle response and acceleration. It is a direct OEM replacement designed for standard 2.4-inch turbo inlets.
