Turbo Inlet V2 Hose

The Cobb Tuning Subaru Turbo Inlet V2 is designed as a direct replacement for the factory 'accordion-style' hose found in 2008-2014 WRX, 2005-2009 Legacy GT, and 2005-2009 Outback XT models. This upgrade aims to eliminate intake tract turbulence caused by the stock component, promoting a higher-flowing intake path for improved engine breathing and reduced stress. The inlet is constructed from durable, black 5-ply silicone, chosen for its ability to reject high engine bay temperatures and maintain cooler intake air. A steel wire reinforcement prevents the common issue of hose collapse under vacuum at peak demand, while still allowing for necessary flex between the engine and the intake system. The V2 design incorporates several updates to simplify installation. It features machined billet aluminum adapters for the Post-MAF hose and BPV return, ensuring a more secure fit. Changes in fittings contribute to a cleaner installation process and prevent interference within the inlet airway. Additionally, the overall path of the inlet tube has been refined to improve fitment around TGV Housings. This turbo inlet requires tuning changes to function optimally. Cobb Tuning offers Off-The-Shelf (OTS) Map support for some vehicles; compatibility should be checked on their maps page. The larger diameter of this inlet allows for increased potential airflow delivery to the turbo, which can lead to increased horsepower, decreased turbo spool time, and improved throttle response and acceleration.
