Turbo Intake System

The do88 SAAB 9-3 2.0T performance turbo air intake system is engineered for high horsepower goals, offering superior airflow compared to the stock air box and intake pipe, as confirmed by SuperFlow SF-1020 flow bench testing. The kit features a full aluminum inlet pipe with a 70mm (2 3/4") outer diameter and mandrel bends for optimal air flow. This pipe connects to the turbocharger using a custom-designed, 4-ply silicone hose that is steel wire reinforced to withstand high pressure. Precision is key with this intake system, which includes CNC-machined components for the bracket and air mass meter flange. A custom heat shield plate with rubber seals is included to create a barrier against hot air from the engine compartment, ensuring the air filter receives colder air. For even colder air induction, an optional do88 air ducting hose (Part number AD89) can be fitted. The do88 turbo inlet pipe demonstrates an airflow of 653CFM at a 0.125 bar/1.81 psi pressure drop, significantly outperforming the OEM pipe and air box's 452CFM. This enhanced airflow is crucial for maximizing turbocharger efficiency and preventing horsepower loss, especially in tuned engines. The system comes as a complete package with all necessary parts for installation, including the aluminum inlet pipe, heat shield, silicone hose, rubber seals, hose clamps, and hardware. This intake system is specifically designed for the SAAB 9-3 SS/SC models with 1.8L I4 and 2.0L I4 engines from 2005 onwards.
