Turbo Outlet Adapter Kit

The PRL Motorsports Turbo Outlet Adapter Kit directly addresses the flow restriction found in the stock turbo adapter of Ford F-150 and Raptor Ecoboost engines. Constructed from a robust stainless steel casting, this adapter features an optimized design with an increased cross-section and a smooth taper. This design facilitates a seamless transition for exhaust gases from the turbocharger into the downpipe. Engineered with the aid of CAD flow simulation, the adapter boasts a 23% increase in the minimum internal cross-sectional area, expanding from 3.4in² to 4.2in². This enhancement is credited with reducing turbo-side pressure by 55.8% while maintaining optimal airflow velocity. The improved flow characteristics contribute to faster spool times and increased top-end power. Performance gains are substantial, with dyno testing revealing a peak increase of +14HP and +1 ft-lbs, alongside torque that peaks 212 RPMs sooner. More notably, maximum gains of +30HP at 5300 RPM and +23 ft-lbs at 5600 RPM have been recorded. The adapter also contributes to quicker boost pressure buildup, reaching its peak 106 RPMs sooner than stock, though the ECU's boost limiting is noted as a factor for potential further gains with tuning. This kit includes two adapter flanges; however, gaskets and hardware are not provided and must be sourced separately. The adapter is designed for Ford F-150 models from 2011-2020 and Ford Raptor 3.5L Ecoboost models from 2017-2020. It specifically does not fit the 2.7L Ecoboost Raptor models.
