The PRL Motorsports Turbo Outlet Adapter With Hardware Kit addresses the restriction found in the stock turbo adapter on Ford F-150 and Raptor Ecoboost engines. This redesigned adapter is cast from stainless steel and features an increased cross-section with a smooth taper, seamlessly matching the oval-shaped turbo inlet. The adapter's design increases the total flow section volume from 9.8 to 10.1 cubic inches and boosts the minimum internal cross-sectional area by 23%, from 3.4 to 4.2 square inches. The results indicate a 55.8% reduction in turbo side pressure compared to stock, with a corresponding increase and smoothing of velocity to 101.1% of stock. This enhanced flow facilitates quicker spool times and increases top-end power. Dyno testing revealed peak gains of +14HP and +1 ft-lbs, with torque peaking 212 RPMs earlier. Significant gains of +30HP and +23 ft-lbs were observed at 5300 RPMs and 5600 RPMs, respectively. The kit includes studs manufactured from 303 stainless steel, offering superior corrosion and heat resistance. These studs feature integrated hex key portions for easier installation and extraction using common hand tools, prolonging their reusable lifetime. The kit contains all necessary components for installation: 4 studs, 4 nuts, 2 gaskets, and anti-seize compound to prevent galvanic corrosion. This kit is specifically designed for 2011-2020 F-150 and 2017-2020 Raptor 3.5L Ecoboost models. It does not fit 2.7L Ecoboost models.
