These Clevite H-Series connecting rod bearings (MPN 030TC23546000, also known as CB1861HX) are designed for competition engines. They feature medium eccentricity, high crush, a hardened steel back, and a thin overlay for optimal performance. The bearings are made without flash plating for better seating and have enlarged chamfers for increased crankshaft fillet clearance. Some variations offer 0.001 inch extra clearance (HX suffix). The three-layer design (copper-lead alloy, steel, and electroplated white metal "Babbitt") is engineered to reduce drag, increase horsepower, and withstand high loads up to 12,000 PSI, with 60% higher load capacity than standard bearings. H-Series bearings are recommended for crankshafts with oversize fillets and engines operating in the medium to high RPM range.
