The Volvo 3517642 is a turbocharger manufactured by Honeywell-Garrett, designed as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement part for specific Volvo models. This turbocharger, also known by part numbers 465169-5003S, 5003712, and 8603518, is a direct fit for Volvo 740, 760, 765, and 940 series vehicles equipped with the B230FT engine. It is suitable for the 2.3L, 4-cylinder engine, delivering power outputs of 121/140/167 hp at a maximum RPM of 5200. This unit features a TB2543 turbo model designation and includes water-cooled bearing housing (444357-0014). Key specifications include a compressor housing angle of 327 degrees and a turbine housing angle of 285 degrees. The turbine wheel has an exducer diameter of 53. mm with a trim of 61 and 11 blades, while the compressor wheel has an exducer diameter of 52. mm with a trim of 58 and 8+8 blades, noted as Billet. The turbine housing AR is 0.64. It is offered as a new or remanufactured unit, with remanufactured versions tested on a balancing bench used by original manufacturers. A 1-year warranty is typically provided. When purchasing a remanufactured turbocharger, the return of the old, defective part is required for a core charge refund. A gasket for the oil outlet (part number 413709-0001) is included with the purchase.
