The Thermal Zero TZ332611-B Universal Externally Wastegated T6 Turbo Heat Insulation Blanket is engineered to provide superior heat management for T6 turbo housings, including many marine applications and Detroit Diesel turbochargers. It is constructed with a 1-inch thick, 6-pound density ceramic insulation material, internally rated to handle over 2500°F of direct heat. The outer shell is made of a silicone-based material, available in various colors. To ensure longevity and reduce breakdown from inevitable turbocharger vibration, this blanket incorporates a knitted wire mesh inner layer that separates the insulation from the housing. Installation is straightforward, utilizing stainless lacing anchors and supplied wire. This blanket is designed to fit most externally wastegated T6 turbo housings. It is made with pride in the USA and is compatible with a wide range of turbocharger models, including specific BorgWarner, Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Garrett, Holset, Precision, Turbonetics, and Tial turbos. Additionally, it has suggested fitment for various semi-truck applications such as Caterpillar CAT 3406 engines, Freightliner models, and Mack Trucks with E9 engines.
