Description

It is boost referenced, similar to a fuel pressure regulator, to allow lower oil pressure at lower boost and increase supply pressure to the bearing system at higher boost. This inline, return-less design uses a boost reference to create a pressure differential, targeting appropriate bearing pressure at low and zero boost to prevent the turbo from digesting oil and providing increased protection at higher boost levels.
