The Integrated Engineering IERTVL2 Tuscan connecting rods are engineered for optimal bottom-end strength, reliability, and light weight in European engines. Utilizing advanced CAD and FEA software, each rod application is individually optimized, with a particular emphasis on providing a stable foundation for the connecting rod bearing to ensure higher reliability. This design evenly distributes high compressive loading from turbocharged engines. These connecting rods are constructed from forged steel and feature 3/8" ARP 2000 rod bolts. The beams have an 'Egg' shape, optimized through an extensive iterative process to reduce stresses and evenly distribute compressive loading. The manufacturing is completed in the USA, honed to tolerances of around 250 millionths of an inch for exceptional bearing reliability. Specifically designed for 1.9L TDI engines including the 1Z, AHU, and ALH variants, these rods measure 144mm in length with a 26mm pin size.
