The CTS Turbo IERTVB1 Tuscan connecting rods represent a leading edge in bottom-end strength, reliability, and lightweight design for high-performance European engines. Crafted from vacuum-drawn 4340 chrome moly steel, these rods boast a unique I-beam design that offers incredible bending and torsional stiffness, optimized for applications up to 1000BHP. Each rod is honed to exacting tolerances within 250 millionths of an inch and features forced pin oiling for extended wrist pin longevity. Furthermore, each set is balanced to weights within +/- 1 gram, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. These connecting rods are specifically designed for aftermarket pistons requiring 22mm wrist pins and are application-specific, optimized for platforms like the MK7/MQB. The industry-leading strength-to-weight ratio ensures robust performance without unnecessary bulk. The IERTVB1 rods are multi-stage heat-treated for dimensional stability and fatigue life, and they undergo dimensional and magnaflux inspection for extreme reliability. Fitment includes a range of Audi TTRS, RS3, RS Q3 models, as well as Volkswagen Golf, Rabbit, Jetta, Jetta GLI, Jetta SportWagen, and Beetle models equipped with the 2.5L 5-cylinder engine. For extreme performance applications, it is suggested not to exceed 8500 RPM with the included ARP 2000 bolts; upgrading to ARP 625+ bolts is recommended for RPMs beyond this or the factory redline.
