Tuscan I-Beam Connecting Rods

The Integrated Engineering Tuscan I-Beam connecting rods are premium technology designed for the demands of high-boost Audi 3.0T engines. Specifically engineered for the EA839 engine, these rods target the weak points of factory components to offer superior resistance to bending, improved bearing stability, and extended fatigue life for dependable performance. The advanced I-beam design results from extensive analysis to identify high-stress areas, optimizing material distribution to evenly distribute high-compressive loads and maintain a lightweight profile without sacrificing strength. These connecting rods are precision manufactured from vacuum-drawn 4340 chrome moly steel and undergo surface peening to enhance fatigue strength. Each rod set is meticulously balanced to within +/- 1 gram. They are designed to work with aftermarket pistons featuring 22mm wrist pins, such as the iE Spec JE Forged Pistons, which are optimized for a 10:1 compression ratio. The Tuscan rods are rated for a maximum torque of 1000 ft-lbs per set of six and feature genuine ARP 2000 3/8-1.5" bolts. Installation requires engine disassembly and precise assembly practices. Critical clearances, including wrist pin and journal clearances, must be measured and recorded. The torque procedure involves pre-torquing and final torqueing using ARP assembly lube to achieve a bolt stretch of .006" or 50 ft/lbs. Engine assembly should always be performed by a trained technician with professional tools. Compatible with Audi S4, S5, and SQ5 models from 2017-2024 with the EA839 3.0T engine.
