The Mantic Twin Disc Clutch Kit (M921201-B) is engineered for the 1997-2004 C5 Corvette, including Z06 models with the 5.7L LS1 engine. The twin 9-inch ceremetallic discs significantly reduce the Moment of Inertia (MOI), resulting in smoother gear transitions, improved power delivery to the ground, and quicker, more precise shifts. Constructed with 100% billet materials, this clutch offers enhanced strength and durability, preventing flex under heavy usage unlike stamped steel units. The ceremetallic friction material, combined with a sprung center and cushioned organic discs, provides increased torque capacity and heat resistance while maintaining excellent drivability. The kit includes a lightened steel flywheel (16 lbs) that allows for quicker engine revs. Pedal effort is estimated to increase by only 12-15% over the stock clutch. This complete kit includes the twin disc clutch with ceremetallic material, a lightened steel flywheel, a new OE hydraulic release bearing, and all necessary hardware, including new flywheel and clutch bolts. The clutch assembly is SFI approved, fully rebuildable, and features a cool, modular construction for ease of service. It offers a torque capacity of up to 1010 ft-lbs at the crank (approximately 820-850 ft-lbs at the wheels), though actual capacity may vary depending on the type of power adder used.
