Twin-Disc Clutch Kit

The Tilton ST-215 is a performance-engineered twin-disc clutch kit, built to handle significant power while maintaining street-friendly drivability. This robust design resists warpage and provides excellent heat capacity. The ST-215 offers two primary disc options: a sprung-hub organic disc designed for smooth engagement and reduced NVH, suitable for street use, and a solid-hub cerametallic disc for more positive engagement, geared towards street/strip applications. The organic disc option can hold up to 650 lb-ft of torque, while the cerametallic version is rated for 840 lb-ft. Both options come with interchangeable diaphragm spring types (G or ORA) to adjust clamping force and torque capacity, with the 'grey' spring offering maximum power and the 'orange' spring providing reduced pedal effort at the cost of some torque capacity. This clutch kit includes a pressure plate with a heavy-duty strapped floater to minimize chatter and ensure clean release. It is available in various spline counts to accommodate different transmissions, including T56, G-Force, V160/V161, CD009, and R154. Note that the ST-215 clutch requires a 13/16" large bore master cylinder for proper release, and compatible master cylinder kits and clutch lines are recommended for a seamless installation.
