The Tilton ST-246 Twin Disc Clutch Kit from LG Motorsports brings racing technology to the street. Each kit features a billet chromoly steel flywheel designed with a precision register to ensure optimal balance of the clutch and flywheel assembly. This clutch is engineered with an aluminum cover, drawing technology from Tilton's championship-winning OT- Series racing clutches. Heavy-duty straps connect the pressure plate and floater plate to minimize noise. Two disc options are available to suit different performance needs. This configuration can hold up to 850 lb-ft of torque. For those seeking more aggressive engagement for street/strip applications, the cerametallic disc option with a solid center hub offers higher strength and positive engagement characteristics, capable of holding up to 1250 lb-ft of torque. The ST-246 clutch kits are compatible with most OEM release bearings, with the sole exception being C6 Corvettes, which require the specific Tilton 6000 Series HRB (Hydraulic Release Bearing). This clutch system weighs between 45-48 lbs and represents a competitive option in the performance clutch market, designed from the ground up as a true performance twin disc.
