The Dobinsons Twin Tube Shock Absorbers, including the GS57-622 model, are engineered to significantly improve vehicle handling and control compared to standard shocks. Developed and tested in Australia, these shocks are built to endure harsh conditions, from extreme heat to subzero temperatures. Their larger bodies and bores, combined with advanced valving, effectively reduce shock fade and ensure consistent performance even under heavy loads or demanding terrains. It also incorporates Teflon piston rings to reduce internal friction and improve responsiveness, a double-chromed 18mm rod for increased strength and corrosion resistance, and natural rubber bushings for improved ride comfort. A steel dust cover protects against debris, extending the lifespan of the shock absorber. The extended length is 620mm, and the compressed length is 386mm, providing a 40mm lift height. It is designed as a direct bolt-in OE replacement for straightforward installation without modifications. This strut is specifically designed for the Suzuki Grand Vitara JT Series, model years 08/2005 to 2015. It can be used with stock coils or Dobinsons Lifted Coils. Some sources indicate it fits 2006-2014 Suzuki Grand Vitara models, and it is noted as a front strut suitable for the JB-JT series. Installation notes specify that the front struts must be seated completely down in the knuckle, with the welded brake line bracket firmly seated against it, to prevent deflection or damage.
