Description

The Dobinsons GS59-635 is a twin tube shock absorber engineered to enhance the suspension performance of 1960-1985 Toyota Land Cruiser models. This unit is nitrogen gas charged at low pressure, which significantly reduces oil aeration and prevents shock fade, ensuring consistent performance even under demanding conditions. Constructed with durability in mind, the GS59-635 features thicker walls for a superior design and offers extended travel capabilities. Internal components include Japanese NOK multi-lip seals, Fuchs German shock absorber oil for optimal lubrication, and natural rubber bushings to minimize noise, vibration, and harshness while maintaining flexibility. The shock rod is protected by a metal shock boot and features Teflon piston rings and a double chrome-hardened rod for longevity. Dobinsons designs and tests its 4x4 shock absorbers in Australia to withstand extreme conditions worldwide, from the Australian outback's heat and corrugations to harsh winter environments. The larger bodies, increased bore size, and enhanced valving of the Dobinsons shocks dramatically improve vehicle handling and control. This shock absorber is a direct fit for Toyota Land Cruiser 40 Series and 45 Series models from 1972 to August 1980, and generally fits Toyota Land Cruiser models from 1960 to 1985. It is designed to provide a 0-2 inch lift.
