Description

The BDS Suspension BDS98165S is a gas-charged, twin-tube strut replacement designed for 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD models equipped with a BDS 6-inch lift kit. Featuring rod-displaced valving, the BDS98165S adjusts to variable road conditions, providing adaptive performance. Its all-weather fluid includes special additives to minimize oil breakdown even in extreme temperatures. The construction includes a chrome-plated piston, a bronze-reinforced rod guide bearing, and a specialized single lip seal, all contributing to extended service intervals and durability. The strut has a compressed length of 19.6000 inches and an extended length of 24.5700 inches, with 4.9700 inches of travel. The lower mount type is a bar pin with an OEM code, and the upper mount type is a stem with an OEM code. Mounting hardware is not included, and installation time is estimated at 1.5 hours. It is not adjustable and does not feature adjustable damping.
