The Steeda Twin Turbo Fusion Cold Air kit is engineered for the Ford Fusion Sport featuring the 2.7L Twin Turbo EcoBoost V6 engine. This performance intake system utilizes an in-house CAD-designed, custom Roto-molded air box that creates a seal against the hood liner. It integrates two high-flow velocity stacks and leverages the factory cold air feeds to maintain cool air temperatures for both included high-flow air filters. The primary benefit of this Steeda cold air intake is the reduction in intake air temperatures (IATs). Lower IATs directly translate to enhanced engine performance and improved fuel economy. This is achieved through the synergistic design of the airbox, the high-flow filters, and the precision-molded thermoplastic velocity stacks. The airbox effectively shields the intake from engine bay heat, while an inlet scoop actively draws in cool, fresh air. This kit is designed as a direct bolt-on installation and does not require any ECM tuning, making it a straightforward upgrade. Steeda also notes that under steady-state driving conditions, an increase in gas mileage should be observed.
