Overview

The Trick Flow Twisted Wedge 185 Series cylinder head is an aftermarket upgrade for Ford 2V Modular engines. It features Twisted Wedge combustion chambers and intake valves repositioned to the opposite side of the cam. This design enhances mid-lift airflow, piston-to-valve clearance, and valve-to-bore clearance, allowing for higher lift cams and larger valves. The head includes Fast As Cast runners, CNC-profiled combustion chambers, OE PI-style intake inlets, and patented replaceable cam bearing journals. It is constructed with 3/4" thick decks and accepts 3/4"-reach spark plugs.

The Trick Flow® Twisted Wedge® 185 Series cylinder head is designed as a premium aftermarket upgrade for mildly modified Ford 2V Modular engines. Its innovative Twisted Wedge combustion chambers and repositioned intake valves enhance mid-lift airflow, increase piston-to-valve clearance, and provide greater valve-to-bore clearance. This allows for the use of higher lift camshafts and larger valves without modifying the bore size or requiring flycutting of pistons. Constructed from cast aluminum with a 3/4" thick deck, these bare cylinder heads feature Fast As Cast® runners that offer near-CNC-ported airflow performance. The combustion chambers are CNC-profiled, and the heads include OE PI-style intake inlets for seamless integration. Notable features include patented replaceable cam bearing journals, ensuring longevity, and provision for 3/4"-reach spark plugs. These Twisted Wedge 185 heads are compatible with all 2V Romeo and Windsor engines. They accept all OE-style camshafts, followers, lash adjusters, valve covers, and most OE Ford front covers. Sold individually, these heads are available as bare castings, requiring assembly with separately purchased components like valves, springs, retainers, and locks.
