Overview

The Trick Flow Twisted Wedge 185 cylinder heads are assembled, cast aluminum heads designed for Ford 4.6L/5.4L 2V engines. These heads feature 44cc combustion chambers and 185cc intake runners with a 93cc exhaust runner volume. They include CNC-machined combustion chambers, 1.840-inch intake valves, and 1.450-inch exhaust valves, along with 90 lb. valve springs.

The Trick Flow Specialties Twisted Wedge 185CC/44CC Cylinder Head (TFS-51910002-M44) is engineered to enhance the performance of 1996-2004 Ford Mustang models equipped with the 4.6L 2V engine. Constructed from durable A356-T61 aluminum, this head features a Twisted Wedge combustion chamber design with intake valves repositioned on the opposite side of the cam. It boasts OE PI-style intake inlets, Fast As Cast runners for efficient airflow, CNC-profiled combustion chambers, and 3/4" thick decks. The head also includes patented replaceable cam bearing journals, seven-degree locks, valve springs and damper springs, and thee-angle machined ductile iron valve seats. Additional features include drilled accessory bolt holes, through-head oiling, and angled spark plugs for optimal combustion. This assembled cylinder head is designed to be a direct fit for mildly modified 2V Romeo and Windsor engines. It is compatible with OE-style camshafts, followers, lash adjusters, valve covers, and most OE Ford front covers, simplifying installation. The specified combustion chamber volume is 44cc, intake runner volume is 185cc, and the intake valve diameter is 1.840 inches, with an exhaust valve diameter of 1.450 inches. The maximum valve lift is rated at 0.600 inches.
