Twisted Wedge Track Heat 185 Cylinder Heads

The Trick Flow® Twisted Wedge® Track Heat® 185 Cylinder Heads are high-performance, assembled cylinder heads crafted from cast aluminum for Ford 4.6L and 5.4L 2-valve modular engines. A unique feature is the Twisted Wedge® combustion chamber and intake valve design, which is moved to the opposite side of the camshaft. This configuration significantly boosts mid-lift airflow and increases piston-to-valve and valve-to-bore clearance. This enhanced clearance allows for the use of higher lift camshafts and larger valves without modifying the bore size or flycutting pistons. These heads boast OE PI-style intake inlets and Fast As Cast® runners that provide airflow comparable to CNC-ported heads. The combustion chambers are CNC-profiled, and the decks are a substantial 3/4" thick. They also feature patented replaceable cam bearing journals and accommodate 3/4"-reach spark plugs. Designed to fit all 2V Romeo and Windsor engines, these cylinder heads are compatible with OE-style camshafts, followers, lash adjusters, valve covers, and most OE Ford front covers. The heads are sold individually and come fully assembled with dual springs rated at 150 lbs. at 1.500 in. installed height, capable of supporting up to 0.650 in. of valve lift. Note that these heads will not work on high mount power steering applications where the pump bolts to the cylinder head; the power steering pump must bolt to the block below the cylinder heads.
