Beyond noise reduction, this material acts as a superior insulator, maintaining a cooler interior during hot weather and a warmer one in colder climates. It works to eliminate common interior annoyances such as squeaks, rattles, vibrations, and unwanted engine noise and heat. This sound deadening layer can be installed under the carpet, on firewalls, or in any interior location requiring additional sound deadening or insulation. For optimal results, DEI recommends using the Boom Mat Undercarpet in conjunction with their Boom Mat Vibration Dampening Material. Installation can be achieved through mechanical fastening or by using Boom Mat Hi-Temp Spray Adhesive (#010490), allowing for secure application on vertical and overhead surfaces. The material measures 24 inches by 54 inches, covering 9 square feet, and has a thickness of 0.375 inches.
