This big brake kit features extremely lightweight, forged one-piece calipers constructed from aerospace-quality aluminum. This solid billet construction eliminates weak spots, preventing fracturing, warpage, and failure over time. The calipers utilize aluminum pistons protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, ensuring smooth operation and resistance to corrosion. An opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear, complemented by high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections reduce rotational mass, improving wheel stopping ease and providing immediate brake response. This design also minimizes rotor warping due to heat buildup and acts as a heat sink, dissipating heat more effectively. Ksport offers both cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to cooler operation, and slotted rotors for vehicles with more track use, which help wipe away heat, dust, and gases. Standard inclusions for this kit are replacement calipers, rotors, SC5 Street Pads (offering optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with reduced dust and noise), stainless-steel braided brake lines (D.O.T compliant, eliminating hose expansion under pressure for a firmer pedal feel), and CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets for direct bolt-on installation to OEM locations. Options are available to upgrade to RCI Race Pads for extreme track conditions, customize caliper colors, and select different center bell upgrades for further personalization.
