The Function and Form Type 1 coilover kit is engineered as a full-bodied system for both street performance and weekend track use. Each kit is built with corrosion-resistant, zinc-plated steel collars, spring perches, and shock bodies, offering superior durability and hardness compared to aluminum. This material choice ensures better performance under stress, weight, and heat. These coilovers feature preset damping characteristics that are carefully matched with appropriate spring rates (12k Front, 6k Rear) to provide a smooth ride and effective lowering. The design utilizes mono-tube technology, featuring larger cylinders and piston valves for more responsive operation without aeration or performance fade, enhancing overall handling. Adjustable lower mounts allow for ride height adjustments without compromising shock travel. Select McPherson suspension applications include a pillowball top mount, with some offering camber adjustability. Included with the kit are polyurethane dust boots and bump stops to protect against road contaminants. Function and Form stands behind its products with an industry-leading 24-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects. The product's signature red lower mounts are finished with a durable, corrosion-resistant powder coating to withstand various weather elements. This coilover kit is designed for the 1996-2001 Honda CR-V models.
