Type 1 Front Lip Splitter

The Skillard Front Lip Splitter Type 1 is an aerodynamic enhancement for the Datsun S30 chassis, specifically designed for compatibility with the Type 1 air dam. This splitter integrates with the vehicle's core support and cross member, offering a significant improvement in front-end handling and downforce. It is constructed from durable 1/8″ thick aluminum, ensuring longevity and performance. The splitter functions by strategically managing airflow. It blocks air from moving downward at the front of the car, redirecting it up and over, which generates downward force and reduces front-end lift. Furthermore, by extending back nearly 3 feet and contributing to a smooth front undercarriage, it further enhances the car's downforce characteristics, mimicking designs found on professional race vehicles. This results in increased front-end traction and stability. This component is available in two sizes: a 2-inch extension for a more subtle aesthetic or a 4-inch extension for a more pronounced effect. It includes necessary turnbuckles, brackets, and mounting hardware to attach to the existing tow hook and front bumper mounting points. However, it's important to note that chassis mounting points may differ slightly on the 240Z, requiring two additional longer bolts and spacers for attachment to the core support, which are not included.
