Type-2 Coil-Over Kit

The Function & Form Type-2 Coilover system is engineered as an adjustable dampening system, offering a balance between street-inspired comfort and durability, while also being capable of handling occasional track use. The Type-2 aims to provide a robust product that can withstand real-world driving conditions, incorporating steel lower mounts for enhanced durability akin to OEM standards. Constructed with a dual-tube shock design, these coilovers prioritize ride comfort. They utilize monotube shocks to increase piston surface area and improve heat dissipation, ensuring consistent performance. The system offers 32 levels of dampening adjustment, accessible via a knob with distinct clicks, allowing users to precisely dial in their desired ride and handling characteristics. The spring rates are set slightly more aggressively than Type-1 coilovers to support occasional track duties and spirited street driving, without significantly compromising ride quality. Special oil lubrication is incorporated to ensure operability across a wide temperature range, from -40 degrees Celsius to 200 degrees Celsius. Key specifications include front spring rates of 12K and rear spring rates of 10K. The piston size for double wishbone suspension setups is 43mm, while for McPherson struts, it is 50mm. The coilovers also feature ride height adjustability independent of spring preload. This kit is designed specifically for the 1999-2009 Honda S2000 and includes two front and two rear coilovers.
