Type 200 DOT 4 Brake Fluid

The ATE Type 200 Amber Brake Fluid is a high-performance hydraulic fluid engineered for the rigorous demands of motorsports and spirited driving, while also serving as an excellent choice for street-driven vehicles. It surpasses all DOT 4 standards and is formulated to excel under extreme conditions. This brake fluid features superior water-binding capabilities, which helps maintain its high dry and wet boiling points. The minimum dry boiling point is 280°C (536°F), and the minimum wet boiling point is 198°C (388°F). This formulation minimizes the risk of vapor lock, a critical safety factor during intense braking scenarios. It is compatible with and can be mixed with most DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 brake fluids. The ATE Type 200 is designed for longevity, offering a recommended change interval of up to three years for normal highway driving conditions, significantly longer than lower-spec fluids which may require annual changes. Its composition includes water-binding polyethylene glycol ether boric acid esters and specialized additives developed for high-performance applications. The fluid meets or exceeds stringent industry standards, including FMVSS No. 116 – DOT 4, SAE J1704, and ISO 4925 Class 4. Packaged in a 1-liter (1000ml) container, the fluid is homogenous, transparent, and yellow in color. When stored in its original, factory-sealed packaging at temperatures between –20°C/–4°F and 40°C/104°F, it has a shelf life of up to five years.
