Type 3 Coilover Kit

The Function and Form Type 3 coilover system is engineered to enhance the performance of the 2014-2020 Volkswagen Golf, GTI, and Jetta MK7. This kit provides 24-step one-way adjustable damping for precise control over ride stiffness and responsiveness, allowing for optimal tuning for both street and track use. The independent ride height adjustment ensures that the vehicle's stance can be modified separately from the spring pre-load. Constructed with a high-strength JIS G3445 carbon steel shock body, these coilovers are built for durability under demanding conditions. The monotube shock design features large fluid valve assemblies and oil chambers for consistent damping performance and improved thermal stability, thanks to its high-viscosity fluid. For McPherson strut applications, Koyo Japan radial bearing upper spring perches are included to reduce noise and binding, while aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum camber plates allow for precise front camber adjustments. The spring rates are set at 9K for the front and 5K for the rear. The powdercoated steel lower mounts include tabs for factory brake lines and ABS sensors, simplifying the installation process. This system aims to improve cornering stability, steering response, and overall ride control for your MK7 vehicle.
