Description

The PYI Inc. 02-100-112 is a standard duty Type A dripless shaft seal designed for marine applications. It serves as a watertight mechanical face seal, preventing water from entering a boat through the stern tube where the propeller shaft exits. This seal is an alternative to traditional packing boxes, offering a self-aligning carbon-graphite stator and a stainless steel rotor that compress to maintain a watertight seal.

The seal is suitable for sail or power boats and is designed for a 1" propeller shaft with a 1-1/2" to 1-5/8" stern tube diameter.
